Phil is a solicitor within the corporate team and joined Square One Law as a Paralegal in 2014 before completing his training contract with the firm in May 2017. Prior to joining Square One Law he completed his LPC at Northumbria University.
Phil’s strong commercial focus and experience has allowed him to advise on a range of corporate reorganisations, shareholder matters and commercial matters including contract reviews across a number of service areas, terms and conditions of business and supply of goods and services agreements.
As well as advising on corporate and commercial law he has acted and assisted on commercial proceedings involving the dispute over the sale of a large area of contaminated land. It also involved significant expert witness evidence and complex contractual interpretation. He has also dealt with smaller business disputes including bringing and defending claims for existing clients.
More recently Phil assisted with the sale of European Vehicle Contracts Limited and Capex Asset Finance Limited acquired by Maxxia (UK) Limited and the sale of GT Group to Knorr-Bremse, in addition to working on the acquisition of Gilbert & Mitchell auto salvage business on behalf of our international client KAR Auction Services.
Phil acted for AIM listed client Utilitywise plc in the acquisition of T-Mac Technologies Limited and then undertook a secondment at Shield Therapeutics plc in June 2015 in preparation for and listing of that business on AIM.
